Disable AutoCorrect Feature in Microsoft Office

Autocorrect feature sometimes become a mess and it is more prominent on languages that you haven’t installed. However, you can install a language pack to avoid this issue but if the language pack is not available, then you have to disable this feature or it will automatically correct the words without understanding the language.

Disable AutoCorrect in Microsoft Office 2016

  1. Open Microsoft Word.
  2. Then click on File tab and go to Options. Microsoft Word Options
  3. Now select Proofing and click on AutoCorrect Options.Microsoft Word Proofing
  4. You can disable AutoCorrect options here. Make sure you are on the language for which, you are disabling this feature. (You can change the language at the bottom bar of Microsoft Word).AutoCorrect Options

Most of the time AutoCorrect feature is managed according to the language you are using. You can install additional language pack on any Windows OS. But many features in Windows 10 is limited to only few languages and Cortana is one of them. Microsoft is trying to add many other native languages from various countries but many of them are still in beta phase. You can force Windows to use any particular language as a ‘Default Display Language’, however the output might not be correct and you will notice that some part of Windows will be using English as the default language.

Microsoft has also streamlined their mobile and desktop operating system and with the help of Continuum, you can convert your Windows 10 Mobile into a desktop but you may need carry some more cables to use it.
