Android Oreo Custom ROMs Now Available for Redmi Note 4

Redmi Note 4 is undoubtedly the most popular smartphone of the year. The phone comes with snapdragon 625 chipset and has three RAM variants 2/3/4 Gb. Xiaomi has already rolled out the Nougat update in the November 2017 and has received MIUI 9 on top of it. However, there is a very less chance that Redmi Note 4 will receive the Oreo update as the company has already provided one major update to it. But Xiaomi is constantly giving the monthly security updates and bug fixes.

Many users who don’t want to stuck to the MIUI can install Custom ROMs to get the latest Android Oreo on their phone. We have already seen many stable Oreo based custom ROMs on XDA and the users have already reported it should further improve the battery life and performance of the phone however we don’t recommend installing any Custom ROM on your phone.

Mi A1 got the Official Update

However, few days earlier Xiaomi rolled out Android Oreo update to its Xiaomi Mi A1 and it might have made it Xiaomi the first company to roll out this update. But as this phone is a part of Android One program we have expected it to receive the update first. Xiaomi has already started Beta testing of the Android Oreo update for Mi 6 smartphone.
