Google Tranparency Report : User Data Requests

Google has released the transparency report that shows how they receives the user data request from the different government agencies around the world. Government receives user data for investigating criminal activity, administrative agencies, courts and others.

“Today we’re releasing new data for the Transparency Report,
showing that the steady increase in government requests for our users’
data continued in the second half of 2012, as usage of our services
continued to grow. We’ve shared figures like this since 2010 because it’s important for people to understand how government actions affect them.”   -Google Official Blog

For India government and agencies the graph has raised to 4,750 user data requests received by the Google in the year 2012.
